Privacy at Section Labs

Section Labs products work with information many people consider intimate—photos, health context, personal goals. This notice explains, in plain terms, how we handle that information.

Last updated: January 2026

1. Scope of this notice

This notice describes how Section Labs, Inc. ("Section Labs", "we", "us") handles personal information across our corporate website and our family of consumer AI products.

Each individual product may have its own supplemental privacy notice that describes product-specific data, retention, and controls. Where the two conflict, the product-specific notice governs for that product.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly: account details, profile information, uploaded images, text prompts, health-adjacent inputs (such as symptoms, measurements, or self-reported goals), messages you send us, and payment details processed by our payment providers.

Information generated by use: model outputs, in-app activity, saved history, feedback, ratings, and diagnostic events.

Information collected automatically: device and browser details, IP address, coarse location derived from IP, session identifiers, and cookies or similar technologies described in Section 8.

3. How we use information

To deliver the specific insights each product offers and to personalize results for the signed-in user.

To operate, secure, and improve our products—including debugging, abuse prevention, and quality evaluation.

To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.

To meet legal, regulatory, and safety obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use sensitive product inputs (such as images of your face, skin, hair, or body) to train unrelated general-purpose models.

5. Sharing and disclosure

Service providers: infrastructure, storage, analytics, customer support, and payment processors who act on our instructions under contract.

Legal and safety: when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of users and the public.

Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with continued privacy protections for transferred data.

We do not share personal information with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes.

In-product content such as uploaded images and saved history can be deleted by you from within the relevant product. When you delete content, we remove it from active systems and from routine backups on our standard rotation schedule.

Account closure removes your profile and associated product content, subject to limited retention for legal, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review of our practices.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact hello@sectionlabs.ai.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site, and optional analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or, where offered, in-product preferences.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers for behavioral advertising.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses.

California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information. EEA and UK residents may lodge complaints with their local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@sectionlabs.ai. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. Children

Our products are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@sectionlabs.ai and we will act promptly.

11. International transfers

We may process information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect information transferred across borders.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as our products and practices evolve. Material changes will be communicated in-product or by other reasonable means. The date below reflects the most recent update.
